Les sensations affectives sont-elles intentionnelles? Plaisir et déplaisir chez Brentano et Husserl
Abstract
Pleasure and pain are they sensory data or affective acts? Called alternatively “affective sensations” (Gefühlsempfindungen) or “sensory feelings” (sinnliche Gefühle), these lived experiences become problematic as soon as phenomenology distinguishes between intentional affectivity and sub-intentional sensation. Pleasure and pain are they intentional or not? How should we describe they relation to the object causing them and the experiencing subject? A thorough examining of Brentano’s and Husserl’s answers to these questions will allow us to better understand they respective theories of affectivity as well as their different use of the concept of intentionality.
