Authors

Abstract

The objective of this article is to highlight the deconstructive approach of the polemical verses towards Mohammed Arkoun’s "people of the Book", Jews and Christians, in the light of the criticism of the concept of "revelation", of modern linguistics and the necessary subversive revision of the status of the Koranic text. This article also mentions the importance of Mohammed Arkoun’s contribution in a context dominated by Sunni orthodoxy, which echoes a medieval exegesis polemical with regard to Jews and Christians in contemporary Koranic commentaries.
