Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • I delcare that the reproduction rights of the text are not reserved
  • I declare that the manuscript has been produced only by the author or authors cited on the title page (i.e. no one else has made contributions to this manuscript).
  • The manuscript submitted is not plagiarised in any way.
  • The documents sent are compliant with the instructions to authors that you will find above or at the following link :https://www.riir.ulaval.ca/en/publication-process/instructions-authors
  • I declare that the manuscript has not been submitted elsewhere in any form, including translations of this manuscript;
  • I authorize Relations Industrielles/Industrial Relations to distribute a photo of the authors of the manuscript I will submit in the following section, for the purpose of promotion and dissemination of the article, only if it is published.

Articles

1-Biographical notes

The author or authors of an article must provide biographical notes. This information should be kept separate from the main manuscript and contain the following:

  • Name
  • Title
  • Institution (with city and country)
  • Research centre
  • Full postal address (to which to send an issue)
  • Telephone
  • Email

Please also specify the order of the authors, indicating the first author and the author for correspondence within parentheses.

2-Manuscript

The anonymized manuscript (of 8000 words maximum), which must be in WORD format (with only one type of font and as few codes and styles as possible), will include, in this order:

  • a title of up to 120 characters
  • a summary of 300 words
  • between 5 and 8 keywords
  • the text (from the introduction to the conclusion, including tables at the right position)
    • Font : Times New Roman 12
    • Double spacing
  • the footnotes
  • the bibliographic references (according to the norms of the journal (APA 6 or 7)
  • To facilitate the anonymization of the text, at most three self-citations can be included in the first version of the manuscript

3-Tables

 

Tables and charts will be put in the manuscript file, at their right position.

4 -Pictures

For the purposes of promotion and dissemination of the article, the journal strongly recommends that authors submit a photo of at least one, and ideally all, of the contributors to the article. These images will be posted on the journal's various social networks. The algorithms of these platforms generally favor content with human pictures.

Manuscripts submitted to Relations industrielles/Industrial Relations must be original texts, presented exclusively to the journal, free of copyright and a product only of the authors cited on the title page.

They must also :

  • Meet the criteria for publication in a scientific journal
  • Fit with the editorial policy of the journal (see Editorial policy)

Anonymity

To comply with the peer review process (the triple blind evaluation), manuscripts must be free of any information that would allow for the identification of the authors and their institutional affiliation. Accordingly, the identity of the author(s) must not appear in the main body of the text, the bibliography (references must be concealed) or in the properties of the electronic file.

Privacy Statement

Gathering, access and management of personal data

Gathering of personal data

The gathering of personal data must enable the Platform to fulfil its mission, namely to ensure the complete management of the digital publishing process, including peer review.

In fulfilling its mission, the Platform is therefore likely to collect both strictly nominative data, for example: surname, first name, physical or e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth, academic or professional affiliation, country, working languages, but may also collect qualitative data.

Privacy Policy

Université Laval and its authorized personnel ensure the protection of personal information and respect for privacy. The right to privacy is protected in Québec by articles 3, 35 and 36 of the Civil Code of Québec and article 5 of the Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms.

Responsibility for the protection of personal information

The Platform Administrator is responsible for personal information under its control and shall designate an individual who is accountable for safeguarding information assets in accordance with the principles set forth in these Terms of Use.

Users' Responsibility for Personal Data

Responsibility for the protection of personal data on the Platform lies with all users. Users agree to read and comply with the Information Security Policy (hereinafter "the Policy") and the Information Security Regulation on the Use of Information Assets of Université Laval (hereinafter "the Regulation").

Any contravention of these Terms of Use, the Policy and the Regulation may result in the cancellation of access privileges to information assets. Cancellation may be made without prior notice, depending on the nature and seriousness of the breach.

Protection of personal data

Université Laval stores, processes and communicates information in many forms and through different platforms and websites. It recognizes that this information, which is essential to its administrative, teaching and research activities, must be subject to appropriate use and adequate protection throughout its life cycle.

Access to personal data

Only authorized personnel may have access to personal data. The University ensures that these persons are qualified to access this information and that access is necessary for the performance of their duties.

The personal information you agree to provide on Université Laval's websites must be true, accurate, up-to-date and complete.

Disclosure of personal information

The use and disclosure of personal information at Université Laval takes into account the privacy rights of individuals with respect to the personal information they agree to transmit and the need of organizations to collect, use or disclose such information for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances.

Management and Retention of Personal Data

Université Laval has adopted an Information Security Policy and is subject to the Act Respecting Access to Documents Held by Public Bodies and the Protection of Personal Information (chapter A-2.1). The Act applies to documents held by Université Laval in the performance of its functions, whether the retention of information assets is ensured by the institution or by the Platform.

Transfer of personal data

Those responsible for processing personal data reserve the right to transmit this information to partners whose objectives are compatible with the Platform's mission and for whom the data was originally collected.

Processing for archival purposes in the public interest, for scientific or historical research purposes or for statistical purposes should be considered a compatible lawful processing operation.

The use of data for commercial purposes is totally prohibited.

Suspension of access to personal data

  1. Platform users have the right to obtain from the data controller the suspension of access to their personal data, as soon as possible, when:
  2. the personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected;
  3. the Journal no longer wishes to use the service offered by the Platform;
  4. the person concerned withdraws his or her consent following unlawful processing of such personal data:
    1. when the data are used for purposes other than those for which they were collected;
    2. when the processing of the data collected is contrary to the Information Security Policy of Université Laval;
    3. when the processing of the data collected is contrary to the laws and regulations in force.

Suspension of access to personal data is equivalent to the unavailability of such data to users. Only those responsible for the Platform retain access to it for the purposes of administering the Platform.

Life span of personal data

The Library retains personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it was originally collected. The person responsible undertakes to destroy personal data as soon as they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected.
