Quand le silence est violent

Cet article a pour objectif de discuter comment les fragilités de la communication en soins palliatifs peuvent être comprises comme des formes de violence symbolique. Il s’est construit à partir du contexte des soins palliatifs, en intégrant une vision bioéthique principiste sur l’autonomie du patient dans le processus de mourir et la participation de la famille, ainsi qu’une compréhension de la violence comme négligence des droits de l’autre proposée par Minayo, aboutissant à la configuration de la violence symbolique possible dans ce contexte, tel que l’énonce Bourdieu.
