Abstract

Despite being a social institution characterized by a normative structure, science is also a hegemonic tool. Analyzed as a trading system of donations or fights for the accumulation of a symbolic capital, like heterogenous networks that are the subject matter of negotiation with the rest of society, its contents consist of forms of knowledge competing with other thought systems and its practices are the focus of ethnographical studies.
