La notion d’urbain anthropocène se constitue à la confluence de deux transformations majeures des mondes contemporains en mettant l’accent sur les relations entre la crise environnementale et les enjeux urbains du XXIe siècle. L’urbain anthropocène constitue donc un cadre d’intelligibilité afin de réfléchir au lien entre l’urbanisation accélérée de la planète et la crise climatique qui remettent en cause l’habitabilité de la terre.
