Abstract

Artivism, a neologism made up of the words art and activism, refers to the social and political commitment of individuals in the artistic world (activist artists, citizens). Given that artistic expressions are varied, they offer various means to make one’s voice heard. More than that, artivism can become an art form in its own right.
