In this entry, three of the central aspects of ethnopsychiatry are presented: 1. ethnopsychiatry as a system of meanings, knowledge and cultural practices aiming to (re)establish the cosmogonic, social and intrapsychic orders; 2. ethnopsychiatry as a clinical practice drawing on culture as a therapeutic lever; and 3. ethnopsychiatry as an anthropological discipline studying cultural and clinical ethnopsychiatries.
