This article analyzes the notion of disability as a situational and relative object, subject to change. Disability is part of an interactive temporal dynamic between organic, functional and identity factors, on the one hand, and social, technological and physical contextual factors, on the other hand, determining what people have the possibility to achieve in the lifestyle of their choice or culturally expected in their communities.
