Abstract

The most important anthropologic works pertaining to health were undertaken by anthropologists in the 1990s. Despite anthropology following the lines of biomedicine, anthropologists saw health as a social, cultural, historical, and political construct varying from one society to the other, i.e., a notion or space defined by relations between the physical and the social bodies.
