Contemporary mutations question canonical disciplinary schemes. The intrusion of new forms of communication and exchange of the lien social [social bond] generates proximity and practice constructs rather than social institutions. Ways of being and existing make for the loss of pertinence of great narratives and tools generally at focus in sociology and anthropology. “Ensembles populationnels” [population groups] enable coherence.
