Environmental racism

The notion of environmental racism is discussed by focusing on the diversity in the uses and meanings of the term. For conceptual delimitation purposes, this article mentions the term’s historical background, then some specificities that have distinguished current approaches, and certain sociopolitical and legal repercussions. Last, uses and implications of the concept will be situated within the field of anthropology.
