Abstract

Big data refers to a mode of collecting and analyzing voluminous data, but above all to a relationship to knowledge characterized by an emphasis on the discovery of correlations and the prediction of the future. Big data raises important social and political issues, which make it a privileged object of critical analysis. But big data also provokes a reflection on anthropological practice, its epistemological status and the possibilities (or not) of interdisciplinary collaboration.
