L’aide humanitaire informelle désigne l’ensemble des pratiques qui se développent en marge des initiatives humanitaires formelles, généralement menées par des institutions gouvernementales et des organisations non-gouvernementales internationales. Ces formes d'aide, parfois qualifiées d’« humanitaire solidaire » ou d’« aide citoyenne », se distinguent par leur échelle réduite, leur spontanéité et une structure flexible. Elles mobilisent des personnes souvent non formées qui, à travers leurs propres réseaux, collectent des fonds et répondent à des besoins urgents. Le développement des réseaux sociaux a amplifié ces initiatives, facilitant une distribution rapide et individualisée de ressources, en marge des canaux traditionnels de l'aide internationale. L'anthropologie se penche de plus en plus sur ce phénomène, et sur les différents questionnements éthiques et politiques qu'il soulève.
