Abstract

Les deux termes de métavers et de cyberespace s’entremêlent souvent, témoignant de conceptions divergentes autours des univers numérisés et de leurs fonctions. Puisqu'il n'existe actuellement pas de réel consensus sur la définition du métavers, cette entrée en survole les différents aspects, dont l’immersion, les interactions sociales, la renégociation de l’identité et la perméabilité au monde physique. Elle aborde également la question de la centralisation d'un tel univers ainsi que ses risques.
