Call for Proposals of Thematic Issues

2023-04-13

The Études Inuit Studies journal calls for special theme proposals for forthcoming issues in the cominfg years. Thematic issues are led by a guest editor, or by several guest co-editors who submit a thematic issue proposal and coordinate the issue.

Études Inuit Studies publishes special theme issues that usually include a long introduction to the theme and 7 to 12 articles. All special theme proposals must be submitted to the Editorial team of the journal (revue.etudes.inuit@ciera.ulaval.ca ) and include:

  • a formal introduction to the theme with a detailed review of current debates in the literature, and an outline of the contributions that this theme will make to discussions in Canada and beyond (1,000 to 2,000 words);
  • the titles and abstracts of the individual articles and their individual contributions to the special theme (150 to 250 word abstracts); and
  • a short biographical description of each contributor (approximately 100-150 words, please do not send individual CVs).

Each special theme issue must normally include at least 8 articles in French and English and must count as many articles in French as in English. Translations into Inuktitut and its dialects are welcome.

For all details, please, see Author Guidelines

We look forward to receiving your proposals for a thematic issue! We look forward to hearing from you! Thank you!
