Démesure humaine et crainte de Dieu en Qohélet 7,15-18
Abstract
The author presents the state of research about textual and source criticism concerning Qoheleth 7,15-18, and then provides a structural and literary analysis of these four verses, in order to show that Qoheleth emphasizes the limits of wisdom and justice and denounces all forms of excess, because excess cannot guarantee success and can even lead to ruin. To fear God is the opposite of excess; it is recognizing that one does not know anything about how God acts, and accepting to live in an absurd world.
