Rousseau et l’anarchisme : les limites de la relation, le contenu de la critique
Abstract
Our study analyzes the relationship between Rousseau and anarchism. Rousseau’s ideas on politics, human nature and ethics, which have important influences on Marxism, social democracy and republicanism, are analysed within the framework of the anarchist tradition. It also presents the relations and criticisms of important figures in the history of anarchist thought with the political conception of Rousseauism. He defines anarchism in the context of his interpretation of human nature, his understanding of a libertarian society that is neither oppressive nor authoritarian, and his assertion that the existing social order must be radically criticized and overtaken from this libertarian perspective. Moreover, although it has a libertarian tendency in the philosophy of Rousseau, it also tries to indicate the limits of Rousseau in relation to anarchism.
Keywords: Rousseau, anarchism, the nature of human, freedom, morality.
