Les facteurs de l’intention comportementale : un levier multifactoriel pour comprendre et prédire l’acceptabilité des technologies numériques.

Résumé

Le développement des technologies numériques au cours des dernières décennies a donné lieu à une offre croissante et diversifiée d’applications dans tous les secteurs de la société. Cependant, un certain nombre de ces technologies n’atteignent pas l’objectif d’une adoption généralisée par les individus visés. Comme le soulignent Venkatesh et al. (2003), cet échec est souvent attribué à une inadéquation entre les caractéristiques de la technologie et les besoins spécifiques des usagers, ou à un manque de sensibilisation aux bénéfices perçus de ces innovations technologiques ou émergentes. Cet article propose une revue théorique des modèles d’acceptabilité et d’adoption des technologies, centré autour du modèle intégrateur UTAUT de Venkatesh. Il s’agit d’examiner les facteurs influençant l’intention comportementale d’un individu à utiliser une technologie, considérée comme levier prédictif de son acceptabilité sociale. En s’appuyant sur les principales théories de l’acceptabilité technologique et leurs facteurs constitutifs, l’article présente une synthèse des relations complexes entre croyances, influence sociale, attente d’effort et de performance, caractéristiques individuelles, caractéristiques technologiques, motivation, habitudes et intention comportementale. Ainsi, l’objectif de cet article est d’approfondir la compréhension des dynamiques de l’acceptabilité sociale des technologies, futures ou existantes, afin d’éclairer les conditions de leur intégration en tenant compte des contextes d’usage.
