Call for contributions

2024-02-07

The journal Musiques : Recherches interdisciplinaires launches a call for contributions for its athematic issue to be published in fall 2024.

Attached to the Observatoire interdisciplinaire de création et de recherche en musique de l’Université Laval (OICRM-ULaval), Musiques: Recherches interdisciplinaires responds to the need to publish research in music whose aim is to go beyond disciplinary limits. Musiques: Recherches interdisciplinaires is an open access journal, trilingual (French, English and Spanish), and whose content lays within the field of possibilities in music without necessarily recreating existing boundaries which persist in the field of musical research. This interdisciplinary vision makes it possible to broaden the perspectives of analysis and to better understand music in its social, cultural and cognitive context, and across all branches of music and its ramifications in multiple fields. Whether in research or in practice, by combining methods borrowed from the human and social sciences or from those called “exact” sciences, the journal wishes to put forward a true dialogue between the different musical fields, both in Canada and abroad. the international.

Musiques: Recherches interdisciplinaires offers a space for reflection thanks to the possibility of publishing essays, of scientific debate through its peer-reviewed articles, of expression through the publication of interviews, and of discovery following the diversity of the reviews to be published. The journal is therefore aimed at anyone who places music at the heart of their research, as well as all those who feel challenged by the importance of music in the production of scientific knowledge.
