Le concept de travail fait référence à deux axes analytiques imbriqués : les rapports sociaux et les rapports matériels. Les rapports de pouvoir et de domination à l’échelle locale et globale définissent la valeur matérielle et sociale des tâches et des activités qui engagent les personnes dans la reproduction de leur vie en société. Cet article analyse le travail du point de vue de la reproduction de la société où le travail payé et non payé s’articulent et contribuent à l’accumulation de la valeur-argent dans le capitalisme en dépossédant les sujets de ressources qui se reproduisent en dehors du rapport marchand. Finalement, l’article envisage les transformations que les nouvelles technologies digitales produisent autour du travail, ainsi que l’appropriation de nouvelles formes de travail non payé dans les activités de consommation.
